Train
the Trainers –
A five-day accredited course for all
educators who wish to train others in Quality Circle Time.
We
have been running these courses for over five years and they
have been highly successful. The courses outline Jenny Mosley
Whole School Quality Circle Time Model in depth and enable
the delegates to train other trainers within their own LEA
or school but does not allow them to ‘freelance’ the model
other than through the Jenny Mosley Consultancies. Accreditation
is annually renewable.
The
evidence emerging from national research and independent evaluations
of this unique approach clearly shows that it can make a strong
contribution to the personal emotional, moral social development
of young people and help create warm and positive ethos throughout
school.
This
course is for all educators including headteachers, deputy
headteachers, educational psychologists, classroom assistants,
health promotion agencies, behaviour support teams, etc.
The
course will cover an introduction to the model, its theory
and the practice and its unique ideas for implementation.
The
primary course dates are:
- 18th
- 22nd October 2004 (Primary)
- 14th
- 18th March 2005 (Primary)
- 14th
& 15th October 2005 (Re-accreditation)
- 21st
- 25th November 2005 (Primary & Secondary)

Training
for Schools
You
can choose how our courses are run in your school. With the
introductory course (for example) the options work like this:
Introductory
Closure Day Workshop
All teaching and ancillary staff are invited to focus
on the Quality Circle Time Model and its possibilities for
creating a shared vision, strengthening incentives and sanctions
and ideas for happier lunchtimes. Taking care of yourselves
and the team will also feature highly. Gathering everyone
together, this lively day is packed with ideas and leaves
the team with lots to think about and many tried and tested
ideas to put into practice.

Working
In School Day
It's business as usual: the trainer will demonstrate Quality
Circle Time meetings with whole classes of children with an
alternating range of staff observing. A specific circle session
is held for lunchtime supervisors and the day will conclude
with debriefing plus strategies and recommendations based
on the day's activities.

works during an ordinary day.
The
'Value Option' Follow Up Day
A 3-day package. Book a Closure day on any Friday, and on
the Thursday we provide a special training course where the
consultant will demonstrate Circle Time with your own pupils
and all interested staff and parents, and will observe your
playtimes and then run Circle Time for your midday supervisors
– all done during an ordinary Working In School day. We will
then discount these 2 days by £100 and ensure that a consultant
will return 6 months to a year later, on a day of mutual choice,
to assess and evaluate all your initiatives and suggest positive
ways forward.
